დაბადების ადგილი: ქ. თბილისი. დაამთავრა თბილისის სამხატვრო აკადემიის არქიტექტურის ფაკულტეტი 1973 წელს; შოთა რუსთაველის სახელობის თეატრალური ინსტიტუტის კინოფაკულტეტი 1980 წელს. 1973-1981წწ. მუშაობდა "საქქალაქპროექტში" არქიტექტორად; 1981 წლიდან კინოსტუდია "ქართული ფილმის"დირექტორად; 2000-2001წწ. - სააქციო საზოგადოება "ქართული ფილმის"დირექტორად; 2001-2002წწ. -კინემატოგრაფიის ეროვნული ცენტრის დირექტორიად; 2002 წლიდან - სამაუწყებლო კომპანია "იმედის" გენერალური პროდიუსერად. გადაიღო ფილმები: "რევანში" (მ/მ, 1982), "ვამეხი მოდის" (ო. ლითანიშვილთან ერთად, 1987), "ნატო ვაჩნაძე" (დოკ/ფ, 1983), "ტურანდოტი" (1989), "ატრაქციონი", "ფიესტა" (მ/მ, 1996), "ძვირფასო მ." (2000). მიღებული აქვს საერთაშორისო კინო ფესტივალის ჟიურის სპეციალური პრიზი ახალი კინო ენისთვის - "ტურანდოტი" (ვალენსია, 1991). კინორეჟისორი, პროდიუსერი.
