　有马豆腐店店主有马义男的外孙女古川鞠子突然失踪。三个月后，有人在大川公园的垃圾箱里发现一条女性的右臂。和断臂一同找到的包和月票是鞠子的物品，然而一个神秘人却打电话告诉电视台，断臂的主人另有其人。自由撰稿人前畑滋子从杂志主编板垣雅子口中得知，最先发现女性右臂的人是17岁的塚田真一。这时，群马县发生一起车辆坠崖事故。车上有栗桥浩美和高井和明两人的尸体。警方在搜查浩美的房间时，发现了一具没有右臂的女尸和众多遇害女性的照片，因此断定浩美和和明是一连串绑架杀人案的凶手……
