60年代以蓝调迷幻乐在重摇滚做出不可磨灭贡献并影响此后数十年的"Cream"乐队三人组，在1968年由于贝斯手Jack Bruce和鼓手Ginger Baker不可调和的自负而解散，吉他手Eric Clapton联手"Traffic"乐队主唱Steve Winwood(这位不安分的音乐家正在休假中)在Clapton的地下室制作出一个短暂的实验性质的专辑"Blind Faith"。遗憾的是，他们1969年的合作产生的这个唯一的6首歌曲的同名专辑似乎因为被有伤风化的封面诅咒(描绘的一个裸体幼女)而产生了相当多的非议。经过短暂的夏季巡演，两位艺术家几乎没有选择，乐队解散了，只能分道扬镳。Winwood回到"Traffic"乐队呆了5年(没有Clapton已不能盲目走下去)，然后成功单飞。Clapton则为自己找到了定位，凭借无数的上榜和各种梦幻般的作品主宰了整个70年代和80年代。尽管他们两位多年来仍然保持朋友关系，但直到2008年2月，接近"Blind Faith"出品40年之后，Winwood和Clapton才能抽空再次聚首。
