北大荒，黑龙江省的三江平原、松嫩平原、辽河平原上曾经纵横千里的荒原。暴虐的西伯利亚寒流，长久地在这里盘旋，一年有三分之二时间是冬天，极度最低温度甚至达到摄氏零下四十度。但这片荒原却有着世界上最稀有也是最肥沃的被人称作“土中之王”的黑土地。而在上个世纪六七十年代，却有五十多万中国青年，进驻到这片荒蛮之地。在十多年的历史片段中，他们忽然而来，又忽然而去，留下了五十万个青春岁月，也留下了五十万个难以忘却的回忆。 　　如今从第一支队伍列队出发，到现在已经过去了四十年，而这个曾在中国大地上响亮了十几年的名字，也正在历史舞台上渐渐隐去。但是我们相信，对每一个曾经被那一场大潮席卷，曾经被唤做知青的人来说，这一切是那样的难以忘却。因为，那是来自青春的记忆。
