上海崇明北双村是一个典型的“老龄化”村庄，将近百分之六十的常住人口都是老年人。本期节目中神奇员工们接受了北双村村长的委托，分成两组体验老年人的日常工作与生活。薛之谦、杨迪和杨超越领取“小菠菜计划”任务，亲身体验阿姨们摘菜、打包的工作日常。杨超越摘起菜来快准狠，一会儿的功夫就摘好了一筐菠菜；而薛之谦却是把“摘菜”变“砍菜”，还被队友杨迪调侃“是在砍柴”。三人在交流中了解到阿姨们日常生活中的实际困难，不会手机视频、不懂线上支付，杨迪不禁感慨“老人们被科技困在这了”。另一组体验“老伙伴计划”的王耀庆、乔杉和翟潇闻，随村长一同探望90岁的沈阿婆，并帮助老奶奶了却心愿，带她去看望已经四五年没有见面的妹妹。两位耄耋老人时隔多年再次重逢，让三人内心也十分激动，乔杉直言“感觉特别幸福”，而翟潇闻也想念起了自己很久没有见面的奶奶。
