秋叶（谷原章介 饰）是三金警署交通部事故调查科的警员，有着被降职的前科。降级的原因是，他在交通警察大队任职期间，驾驶警用摩托车追赶一辆追捕车辆并发生事故。在一场交通事故的现场，秋叶在遗留的物品中发现了他的初恋秋子 (鹤田真由 饰) 的照片。事故中丧生的男子是 Akiko 的丈夫。秋叶被依然美丽的秋子所吸引，开始在工作之余去秋子家做客。尽管受到警察局长山根（井部正人饰）和同事宏美（佐藤惠美饰）的警告，秋叶仍继续追捕明子。
