一名穿着泳裤的男子被救护车送到医院，结果发现那天休假的菊池医生（金田明夫）也在其中。与他同行的志乃（土屋久美子）被误认为是他的妻子，但志乃其实是小餐馆的老板娘。正巧，菊池的妻子美和（竹井みどり）来到医院。当她看到护士ゆき（須藤理彩）带来的、附有“致亲爱的志乃女士”字样的礼物时，勃然大怒，导致菊池的病情恶化。 楓给多恵（高田敏江）化妆时发现，她大腿骨折，癌症也已经转移，此外，她还患有痴呆症，已经认不出自己的丈夫正胜（三桥达也）。楓将来访的正胜引到病房，告诉他“您的夫人正在等您”，但多恵完全无视丈夫，反而向进藤（江口洋介）介绍他是她的“丈夫”。 下午，脑死亡的高木去世了。楓对高木的新婚妻子真纪（宫泽美保）说：“您每天来看望他，他一定很幸福。”但真纪却反驳道：“我其实讨厌来医院。”
