1996年的初夏，读初中的深见洋贵不顾母亲的嘱咐，让年幼的妹妹亚季独自去放风筝，自己则和同学去租黄色录像带，就在这时，妹妹在湖边被锤杀了。时光飞逝，时间来到2011年的初夏，29岁的洋贵与父亲经营着一家渔具店，洋贵还是会想起面容已经模糊的妹妹。另一方面，加害者的妹妹远山双叶因为是犯人家属的原因被男友抛弃，父亲也丢失工作，一家人不得不带着重病的奶奶东躲西藏，失意的双叶来到了湖边，与深见相遇了，听了洋贵关于当年案件的述说，双叶内心澎湃不已，她知道这个人就是哥哥当年杀害的女孩的哥哥。深见的父亲偶然得知凶手8年前被释放，与此同时，他也查出了自己是癌症晚期，便决定为女儿报仇。深见阻止了父亲，但深见触景生情，一时间对妹妹的愧疚与思念同时袭来，深见削发明志，决定亲自为妹妹报仇，就在他拿着刀冲向凶手时被双叶拦住，最终使凶手逃脱，这时他也得知了双叶是凶手的妹妹的真相。
